Hey friend,
Today’s show reminded me how powerful small acts of kindness can be.
Sometimes a pizza.
Sometimes a note.
Sometimes just being willing to say:
“I’m here.”
Here are a few moments from today that really stayed with me.
🍕 The Note That Made Her Cry
Amy’s husband works in law enforcement.
After multiple exhausting 15-hour shifts, she heard a knock at the door one night.
Nobody was there.
Just a folded note on the porch.
Honestly?
She was nervous to open it.
But inside it said:
“Don’t make dinner. Pizza and salad are on the way. Thanks for all your family does. — A Neighbor”
And suddenly the tears came.
Because sometimes people don’t just need food.
They need to know they aren’t alone.
☕ The “Cup of Grace”
A teacher walked into work grieving the anniversary of her daughter’s death.
On the way to school she prayed:
“God, I need Your grace today.”
A coworker stopped her and handed her a gift she’d been holding onto for months.
Inside was a mug that literally said:
“Cup of Grace.”
That story wrecked me.
📱 Look at Their Eyes More
One of the simplest reminders from today:
Look at your phone less.
Look at their eyes more.
Real connection still matters.
Eye contact.
Presence.
Listening.
Those things are becoming rare.
And because they’re rare…
they matter even more.
🎸 God Can Use You Before You Feel Ready
At church this weekend I got asked to play bass during our first bilingual service.
Now honestly…
I’m not exactly the world’s greatest bass player.
But I said yes anyway.
And standing there watching people worship together in different languages…
I realized something:
A lot of the biggest “God moments” start with availability.
Not perfection.
Availability.
🧠 Mental Health Doesn’t Mean You’re Broken
We talked about Mental Health Awareness Month today too.
And one thing my wife said really stuck with me:
We live in a broken world.
And we’re broken people.
So of course every part of us — including our minds — sometimes struggles.
That doesn’t make you weak.
And it doesn’t make you less loved by God.
🙏 Final Thought
Maybe today God simply wants your yes.
Even if you don’t feel fully prepared.
Even if you feel exhausted.
Even if you think somebody else would do it better.
God can still use willing people.
