The Boy Who Found His Voice

Hey friend,

Today’s show reminded me of something important:

Faith doesn’t mean pretending life doesn’t hurt.

Even Jesus cried.

Here are a few moments from today that really stayed with me.

Ben was getting ready for prom.

His grandma Lois was excited to see him in his tux before the dance.

But when she opened the door…
Ben was standing there alone.

She asked:
“Where’s your date?”

And Ben smiled and said:
“Grandma… it’s you.”

She never got to go to her own prom.
So he took her instead.

That’s the kind of kindness this world needs more of.

When Aiden was little, his mom wasn’t sure he’d ever speak.

Now?
He’s the most requested volunteer at a VA hospital.

He spends hours talking with veterans.
Listening to their stories.
Helping nobody feel forgotten.

A kid who once struggled to communicate…
now uses his voice to bring comfort to others.

That one got me.

One of the most powerful moments in the Bible is just two words:

“Jesus wept.”

He knew Lazarus would live again.
He knew death wouldn’t win.

And He still cried.

Maybe you needed that reminder today:

Faith doesn’t mean you can’t grieve.
Trusting God doesn’t mean you never hurt.

Even Jesus cried at the sad parts.

Today we talked about how doom scrolling quietly steals your time and peace.

One simple tip:
Schedule your breaks.

Even 10 intentional minutes is better than endlessly reaching for your phone every few minutes.

Your attention matters.

A listener shared how she finally said “no” to a manipulative coworker for the first time.

And afterward she felt…
free.

Jesus had boundaries too.

Saying “no” to one thing often means saying “yes” to something healthier.

Following Jesus isn’t boring.

It’s an adventure.

Faith means stepping forward even when you don’t know exactly how things will turn out yet.

And sometimes…
that’s where the best stories begin.
