Today's show reminded me that just because a dream gets delayed...
doesn't mean it's dead.
Here are a few moments that really stuck with me today.
🎓 The Dream That Came Back
As a little girl in the Dominican Republic, Mercedes dreamed of becoming a doctor.
But life got complicated.
Her father died.
She had to help raise her siblings.
Later she sacrificed everything so her own children could have opportunities she never had.
Years passed.
Her daughter Loida became a nurse.
Mercedes was proud.
But one day Loida called and said:
"Mom, I need to show you something."
When Mercedes arrived, her daughter wasn't wearing scrubs.
She was wearing a doctoral graduation gown.
For three years, Loida had secretly been working toward her doctorate.
Mercedes burst into tears and told her:
"You completed my dream for me."
💪 When You Feel Like Quitting
One reminder from today's show:
When you wait on God, He renews your strength.
Not your strength.
His strength.
That's good news for those days when you feel like you've got nothing left in the tank.
❤️ A $160 Act of Kindness
Kim was standing in line at a store when she noticed someone struggling to pay their bill.
Without hesitation, she stepped in and paid $160 toward it.
Why?
Because someone had once done the same thing for her family during a difficult season.
Grace has a way of multiplying.
💡 The Eighth Grader Who Helped Millions
Ethan got frustrated because his hearing aid batteries kept dying too quickly.
Instead of just complaining about it, he turned it into a science project.
His discovery?
Wait five minutes after removing the tab before inserting the battery.
That simple change can make the battery last up to 85% longer.
Doctors now share his tip with patients around the world.
Not bad for an eighth grader.
❤️ The Truth About Love
One thought today really challenged me.
A pastor pointed out that the Bible never gives a reason why God loves us.
Because real love isn't based on conditions.
It's not:
"I love you because..."
It's simply:
"I love you."
That's the kind of love God has for you.
🙏 Helplessness Isn't a Problem
One of my favorite lines from today's show:
"Helplessness united with faith produces prayer."
You don't have to have everything figured out.
You don't have to be strong enough.
You just have to be willing to say:
"God, I need You."
🙌 Final Thought
Maybe the thing you've written off as impossible isn't impossible at all.
Maybe God is still writing that story.
Maybe the dream isn't dead.
Maybe it's just waiting for the right chapter.
