As a little girl, Lisa watched her mom borrow salt from a struggling neighbor.
She was confused.

Later she asked why.
Her mom smiled and said,
"They don't have much money. Sometimes they need to ask us for help. I wanted them to feel like we needed them too."
That simple request protected their dignity.

I asked my daughter Hadassah what she thought she'd do at daycare that day.
She smiled and said,
"Dad... only God knows."
She wasn't nervous about the unknown.
She was excited.
She trusted God already had a good plan.
I want faith like that.

Around every bend, the view completely changed.
You couldn't see the beauty until you took the next step.
That's what following God often feels like.
You don't get the whole map.
You just trust Him around the next corner.

Michael loves bowling.
He told me the different oil patterns on bowling lanes reminded him of life's challenges.
Every difficult lane teaches you something new.
Every hard season strengthens your faith.
Now he's one step away from becoming a professional bowler.
Sometimes the obstacle isn't stopping you.
It's preparing you.

You only need enough faith to take the next step.
Because the God who knows what's around the corner...
