❤️ The Parenting Advice She Wishes She Had Ignored
When Suzanne's daughter was born, everyone had advice.
"Don't lie down with her."
"Don't let her fall asleep next to you."
So she didn't.
Until one day she decided to.
Now, every night after stories and prayers, she lies beside her daughter while she falls asleep.
They whisper.
They laugh.
She kisses her forehead.
And every night she thinks the same thing.
"I wish I had done this all along."
Sometimes the best parenting advice isn't found online.
It's found in simply being present.
🪨 You're Moving More Than Rocks
I've spent the last couple weekends moving piles of landscaping rock.
After hours of work, I caught myself thinking,
"Is this really what life is?"
Then I remembered something Solomon wrote.
He had everything.
Money.
Success.
Power.
And he realized none of it truly satisfied without God.
Your work has purpose.
Not because of what you're doing...
But because of Who you're doing it for.
🙏 God Still Speaks
Prayer isn't just talking.
It's listening.
Some of the clearest moments I've heard God's direction have come when I simply sat quietly with my Bible open.
If you want to hear from Him...
Ask.
Then make room to listen.
🚢 Don't Let Negativity Sink You
A cruise ship floats because the water stays outside.
The ocean only becomes dangerous when it gets inside the ship.
The same is true with negativity.
You can't stop negative things from happening around you.
But you can choose not to let them take over your heart.
🏡 Bring Warmth Home
Before you walk through the front door tonight...
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Smile.
The people inside didn't cause your stressful day.
Don't let work bring chaos into your home.
Bring peace instead.
It may become the best part of someone else's day.
💌 Say It Out Loud
One listener received a simple thank-you note from a customer.
It meant more than they could explain.
If someone crosses your mind today...
Tell them.
Don't assume they already know.
Encouragement has a way of arriving exactly when it's needed.

Life isn't made meaningful by accomplishing more.
It's made meaningful by loving God...
And loving the people He's placed right in front of you.
Those little moments you're tempted to rush through today...
May become the memories you treasure tomorrow.
