🚗 The Detour That Changed Everything
One night my wife and I randomly took a different way home from Walmart.
We never go that way.
Then my wife suddenly said:
“Stop.”
There was a homeless man lying in a ditch.
We called 911 and stayed with him until help arrived.
And I kept wondering:
What if we hadn’t taken that road?
Sometimes God changes your path…
because somebody else needs you on it.
🎓 It’s Not Too Late
Doug got his PhD at 43.
Started his dream job at 51.
Ran his first marathon at 55.
Published his first book at 67.
And now he says:
“I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
You still have time too.
🌊 The River Didn’t Part First
God’s people stood in front of a flooded river before entering the Promised Land.
God told them:
Step into the water first.
Then the miracle happened.
That’s how faith works sometimes.
We want certainty first.
God asks for trust first.
📱 Maybe Boredom Isn’t Bad
As parents, it’s easy to hand kids a device the second they get bored.
Honestly…
I do it too sometimes.
But discomfort can help us grow.
Boredom makes us think.
Reflect.
Create.
Pray.
Comfort keeps us safe.
But too much comfort can keep us stuck.
❤️ There Are People With Grace for You
One of my favorite reminders today:
There are people in your life who truly have grace for you.
People who know your flaws…
and stay anyway.
That kind of love changes people.
And honestly?
That’s a picture of God’s love too.

Maybe today isn’t about having all the answers.
Maybe today is simply about taking the next step.
Because faith always starts there.
